Understanding the clinical-pathological variables and prognosis in young women who survived breast cancer and went on to have a child
Keywords:
Breast cancer;Abstract
Aim. To clarify the role of clinical-pathological variables in overall survival (OS) among women who became pregnant after
breast cancer therapy.
Methods. Those women in this retrospective cohort were diagnosed with post-cancer pregnancy after a history of breast
cancer but did not have active illness while they were less than 40 years old. Age and date of birth were used to analyze
clinical-pathological variables. The Kaplan-Meier technique was used to assess overall survival (OS). Using the Cox
proportional hazards approach to determine the hazard ratio (HR) with 95% confidence intervals (CI), the connection
between clinical-pathological variables and OS was studied.
